The EX-FR 200 presents a fish eye lens unit with separate controller camera is a modular design with the lens and imager detachable from the LCD viewfinder. The camera body by itself looks a bit like a Smartphone, with a large LCD screen taking up one entire side. In single-lens mode, a lens module attaches to the front of the camera body opposite the screen, for a standard shooting position. It can also stand upright in what Casio calls ‘selfie mode’.

The lens unit do not have to be attached to the body at all. You can place it in any remote spot and control it over Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. An accessory clip allows you to tilt the lens unit up to 45 degrees when placed on the ground or another surface.

Users have a variety of output options for single-lens mode, including a 180 degree, circular fish eye look at 3888 × 3888 pixels, which can be ‘unwrapped’ to produce a 7456 × 1864 pixel panorama. A 208 degree ultra wide angle mode is also available.

This 360° camera 13.4mm equivalent fish eye lens attached, but only just, to an LCD-screen ‘body’. The lens / sensor unit actually detaches from this body and can be used separately or reattached in different ways.

You can use it separate like the photo, flipped up for selfies, flipped down for regular or panoramic photos, and you can even attach a second FR100 or FR200 lens unit to capture ‘Omni-directional’ 360° photos and video.

Two lens modules and attaching them together brings a 360° view camera. Since both cameras (lens) are individually capable of 4K video, combining the two imagers allows for 8K circular content creation.

The camera can record 4K at 30fps and transmit it to your Smartphone using Bluetooth 2.1 and Wi-Fi.
